I have been painting for about 20 years, focussing mainly on watercolour with occasional excursions into acrylic. My favourite subjects are English landscapes, animals, birds, rural crafts and nostalgic atmospheric subjects.
I am a self taught artist who enjoys attending WHAG. As a novice I have grown in confidence and enjoy the help and support I get from other members. I mostly work with watercolour and acrylic. I paint flowers and figures but will try most subjects, although I criticise my own work. I love Painting.
Jean Willis Jean’s Gallery
I work in watercolour and acrylic mainly but use other media too. I paint directly onto paper or canvas freely with large brushes. My interests vary from painting flowers, plants and landscapes. I work in freestyle with interest in patterns and semi abstraction and I tutor the group.

I like colour. If you see any of my paintings you will see that the colours in ‘real life’ don’t bear any relationship to what I paint. They say that painting is 90% of the colour you see and 10% of the colours you like. Mine is the other way round!
